Lesson 1: Birthday Party

Day 1:
Show opening video and Look and Listen. Practice phrase: Happy Birthday! This is for you.  -> Thank you.(Person with doll when song finishes has to present it to someone.) How old are you? I'm ___________years old. (With stuffed Hello Kitty and maybe 2 dice). Then have students look at their books / the online thing and write out their dictionaries (possibly split vocab in 4).

OK... Due to nametag making taking a long time, we didn't cover all that. What we did was watch the opening video and a bit of Look and Listen, practiced the phrases How old are you? and I'm _____ years old. and discussed what presents we would all like to get.

Day 2:
Practice flashcards (need to print out from ESL Hero)

Instead of doing the Hello Kitty and dice, plan on doing the back to back finger adding game (one versus one) to practice "How old are you?" and "I'm ____ numbers added up___ years old."

Start writing out dictionaries? I need a simplified version for 초A and 초B classes.
Listen and Read, Listen and Write, and Song. End with Team Spelling?

Students really liked the back to back finger adding game, and seemed to understand it fine. They all did the listen and read and listen and write and song, and finished writing 4 vocab words, and we did only one round of Spelling Hangman.

Lesson 2: My Favorite Food

Day 3:
Start with opening video. Then tape pictures to backs, and then do book work.

OK! They seemed to enjoy the picture guessing game, although we didn't play it that long. We did all the book work up to the song, and finished by playing one short round of the Cups Game (showing only pictures and no words), which they also seemed to like.

Start with p17's Review. Then do dictionary cards making (4 terms). Then finish with the bomb game.

This went more or less as planned: didn't do the review, but played the bomb game for a few rounds (they enjoyed the bomb sound effects), made dictionary cards, and played a little bit of Cups to finish.

Lesson 3: Magic House

Day 5
Start by showing the opening video and then showing flashcards. Practice the expressions by tossing around hello kitty and making a chain of the expression.

Day 6
Do the chapter review. Make dictionary entries. Finish by playing charades / pictionary with flashcards from lessons 1-3... other students have to write the answer on a whiteboard.
